Youth Innovation Camp14 December 2017
On 3 December 2017, the National Bank of Georgia and Junior Achievement Georgia hosted the Youth Innovation Camp on financial education at Gori University. The goal of the event was to promote financial education and engagement of younger generation.
The event was held within the framework of USAID project “Supporting Entrepreneurship Education in Eastern Europe”. Microfinance organization “Crystal” and four commercial banks are actively involved in the project. More than 120 young people aged between 15 and 18 from Tbilisi, Zugdidi, Gori and Kareli regions took part in the event. Innovation Camp on Financial Education is a 12-hour event of intensive generation of ideas, where participants discuss business and educational challenges encountered in the field of financial education and financial engagement; try to solve problems through effective and innovative methods; learn to manage their own budgets and develop cost efficiency skills. Participants were given the opportunity to get the necessary information and take advantage of intensive consultations with experienced experts from the banking-financial sector.
